Zheng Chengde graduated from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2000 with a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering and has been teaching at Nanjing University Business School since then. In 2002-2005, he completed the research work at the postdoctoral station of enterprise management in Nanjing University.
Currently, he is a professor in Nanjing University Business School and the Dean of the Institute of Electronic Commerce of Nanjing University (Yancheng City).
At the same time, he is the Chairman of Jiangsu Internet Service Society, visiting professor at the Macau University of Science and Technology, and deputy secretary-general of the Non-Party Intellectuals Association of Nanjing University.
